A day in honor of Charles E Taylor and all Aircraft Maintenance Technicians
ATM DAYA special thanks to our membership and to all Aircraft Maintenance Technicians on AMT day. Our jobs are so drastically different from that of Charles E Taylor so many years ago. While we share a common bond, our world is now focused on airworthiness, rules, regulations, safety, and compliance. Charles E Taylor started it all by creating an engine that functioned reliably for a short period of time. We are now tasked with ensuring the reliability of complex aircraft, flying thousands of people, thousands of miles, on a daily basis. Certainly we owe our thanks to Charles E Taylor for creating the foundation of the AMT, and the flying public owes thanks to all of us for pressing forward at the forefront of aircraft maintenance today. We will continue to safeguarding with ceaseless vigilance the safety of the air transportation industry in recognition of the high degree of public interest, confidence, and responsibility. Thank you all for the incredible job that you do.

Fraternally,
